GMALL presents: Photographers Who Defined the Great Depression
March 1, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
MANCHESTER, Vt. – Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is happy to welcome back writer and photographer Christopher Dant to talk about significant photographers of the Great Depression. The talk will take place on Tuesday, March 1 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. via Zoom video conference. In 1930s America, several men and women were sent out with their cameras to document a period in history. What they brought back was an indelible and iconic record that defined the Great Depression. We will see photographs and hear their stories from photography greats Dorothea Lange, Arthur Rothstein, Walker Evans, Marion Post Wolcott, and others that tell the heartbreaking and hopeful stories of poverty, loss, and resilience in an era that forever defined the great struggle in rural America. Registration is required in advance. For more information or to register, please call our office at 802-867-0111 or visit www.greenmtnacademy.org.
