SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Diane K. Moulton, 76, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024, after complications from diabetes.
Diane was born Dec. 15, 1947, to Robert F. and Catherine (Cook) Metcalf. She attended school in Baltimore, Vt., later graduating from Chester High School 1965.
On Oct. 23, 1965, she married Doug Moulton, and they began a love story lasting 58 years.
Diane and Doug made their home in Springfield, Vt., raising three sons.
Diane was a lifelong member of the North Springfield Baptist Church.
For many years Diane attended local craft fairs with her mom, selling handmade items she enjoyed making. Years later, it would be her and Doug making and selling their products. The last few years they were very active with the Springfield Farmers Market. They had built a reputation for the best homemade pies and doughnuts.
Throughout the years, Diane had touched the lives of many. She was a joy to talk with, and had a heart of gold. Diane loved spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her husband Doug, son Chris (Shelley), and son Josh. She was predeceased by her son Justin in 2022.
She leaves behind three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Diane was also predeceased by her parents Robert and Catherine, and her brother Douglas Metcalf.
She is survived by six siblings: brothers Bud (Louanne), Scott (Kathleen), Barry (Heidi), Richard, and Sherman (Christine); and sister Sharon (JT); as well as many nieces and nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, at 11 a.m., at Bud and Louanne’s home, 238 Bemis Road, Baltimore Vt.
