Okemo Valley TV Annual Meeting and open house

LUDLOW, Vt. – Okemo Valley TV invites the public to come celebrate community media by coming to an open house in its facility in the Ludlow Community Center complex on Thursday, June 27, at 6 p.m., followed by its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be on hand during the open house. The annual meeting will include producer awards and recognitions, the “State of the Station” report, the board of directors election, and a vote on the organizational budget.

Okemo Valley TV serves the region around Ludlow, including the towns of Cavendish, Reading, Plymouth, Mount Holly, and Andover. In addition to its long-running community access TV channels, the station also streams the channels live 24/7 through its website at www.okemovalley.tv, and – as of this past year – on its free downloadable streaming app, which is available on Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Google Play, and iOS. It also distributes local programming on demand online at those locations, as well as its YouTube channel.

Aside from program distribution, the station also offers open access to equipment, training, and technical support on a first come, first serve, nondiscriminatory basis to all community members.

More information about Okemo Valley TV and the open house, annual meeting, and board election can be found on the station’s website. Nominations for candidates to the board are due by June 20.

The open house and annual meeting are open to the public, but RSVPs are requested, as space is limited. There will also be an option for joining remotely by Zoom – information about that will be posted to the website one week prior to the meeting.
