Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce announces 54th annual Hackers Golf Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of its 54th annual Hackers Golf Tournament, taking place Thursday, July 9, at 12 p.m., at Crown Point Country Club in Springfield, Vt.

A longstanding regional tradition, the tournament is expected to welcome more than 20 teams made up of both chamber members and nonmembers for an afternoon of friendly competition and community connection in a shotgun start format.

Participants will compete for a variety of prizes, including net and gross scores, along with special contests throughout the course. Highlights include a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Casey Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Springfield, as well as contests for longest drive, closest to the hole, and putting champion.

The event isn’t just for golfers. Community members and spectators are invited to gather at the popular Heckle Hole to cheer on players and enjoy the festivities. Additional activities include a 50-50 raffle, a lucky number game, and a ball drop, providing plenty of opportunities for everyone to participate.

Guests can also make a day of it by visiting the air-conditioned pub to watch practice flights ahead of the weekend’s acrobatic competition, held at Springfield Hartness Airport, before returning to join fellow attendees for the tournament’s luau dinner (RSVP requested).

A limited number of foursomes remain available. Businesses and organizations looking to gain visibility while supporting the community are encouraged to consider hole sponsorship opportunities.
