SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Crown Point Women’s Golf Association (CPWGA) proudly hosted its annual invitational on Sept. 12, at Crown Point Country Club (CPCC) in Springfield, Vt. This year’s event brought together golfers from across the region for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and fundraising in support of the Gold Tee Box Improvement Fund.
A total of 88 women, forming 44 two-person teams, competed in an exciting 18-hole tournament featuring three unique formats: six holes of best ball, six holes of shamble, and six holes of scramble. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in four hole-in-one contests, highlighted by the chance to win a 2026 Subaru Forester, generously sponsored by Lundgren Subaru of Claremont.
Perfect weather, outstanding course conditions, and the dedication of the event’s sponsors, volunteers, and CPCC staff combined to make this year’s invitational one of the best yet. The CPWGA is especially grateful to all of the golfers who joined and helped make the day so special. A heartfelt thank-you also goes to the CPCC Pub for preparing and serving the traditional turkey dinner that has become a favorite Invitational tradition.
