CHESTER, Vt. – Disc golf arrived on the scene in Chester in midsummer 2016, when the Chester Disc Golf Course was first established. Led by Chester resident Gary King, the course has been maintained by a dedicated core group of volunteers ever since. Starting as a nine-hole course, it quickly expanded to a full 18-hole layout in 2018, when a league was also formed. In anticipation of the course’s 10th year, the club installed 18 new Innova DISCatcher PRO28 baskets, a great improvement for the course.
A diverse group of abilities and characters meet regularly on Sundays, at 10 a.m., and Thursdays, at 5 p.m., for league rounds. All are welcome for league rounds, or to try a casual round; disc golf is fun for all ages, low cost, and easy to learn and improve quickly.
