SOUTH LONDONDERRY, Vt. – On Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., West River Montessori School (WRMS), 3650 Vermont Route 100 in South Londonderry, is hosting a one-day spring sale to benefit the school. Open to the public and run by volunteers, they will be selling donated items, including new or like-new items, baked goods, and plants. All proceeds from the sale will go directly back to the school to help purchase new materials for the indoor and outdoor classrooms, and to continue making improvements to the grounds and historical buildings.
According to Eva Pare-Maynard, director or WRMS, “WRMS has been a part of our community for 48 years, and we have owned our building since 2005. Over the past 10 years, our donations and fundraising efforts have aided in the replacement of security doors, a new roof and back deck, outdoor classroom renovations and materials, a fence for our playground, drainage around our building, as well as new siding and windows. We truly couldn’t have done it all without the generosity of our community members.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of so many children’s lives and thank you for your support. If it were not for our wonderful students, their families, and our community, we would not be able to provide the education we do.”
