LONDONDERRY, Vt. – Nature fans are invited to join the Londonderry Conservation Commission for a lively talk by Luke Groff on the snakes of Vermont. Our state has 11 different species of snakes, including just one venomous type, the timber rattlesnake. Groff will provide a brief overview of these species, and will focus on those that can be found locally.
This presentation is for all ages and will include a Q&A session that everyone can join. It will take place on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m., in the Twitchell Building, 100 Old School Street, South Londonderry, Vt.
Groff is a herpetologist with the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department and is responsible for reptile and amphibian conservation statewide, as well as state lands management in Rutland and Bennington counties.
