
CHESTER, Vt. – Wayne Gordon Gomez, 75, passed away at The Gill Odd Fellows Home, on Wednesday, May 20. He was born in Springfield, Vt., to Joaquin and Jennie (Gordon) Gomez, on June 29, 1950.
He had various professions, from machine shops, to auto mechanics, to lift operations at Okemo Mountain.
He enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing, camping, dancing, and having a good time.
Wayne is survived by his four children, Christie Hamel, of Williamstown, Vt., Katie Gomez, of Rutland Town, Vt., Jennie Gomez, of Maine, and Joe Gomez, of Pennsylvania; his sister Sheila Stanton; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and his siblings Richard Gomez, Bryan Gomez, Janet Gomez, and Jacqueline Gilman.
A funeral service will be held at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vt., on Monday, June 1, at 1 p.m., with a graveside service to follow.
