ROCKINGHAM, Vt. – Edward Lee “Ed” Foster, 71, of Rockingham, Vt., passed away at his home on May 27, 2026.
Edward was born on Aug. 14, 1954, in Springfield, Vt., to Ellen Sylvia and Raymond Earl Foster.
He married the love of his life, Ruth Foster, on June 21, 1975.
He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Ed was sure to make everyone smile and laugh. He enjoyed metal detecting, hunting, fishing (especially ice fishing), riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.
He was a jack-of-all-trades and did many different jobs throughout his life: driving dump trucks, mechanic work, towing and recovery, and carpentry.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Foster; his mother, Ellen Wade; his stepfather, Allen Wade; his father, Raymond Foster; his brothers Albert (Foster) Wade and Andrew (Foster) Wade; and his uncle Jerry Foster.
He is survived by his son, David Foster; his daughter, Beth Muzzey; his son-in-law, Travis Muzzey; his stepmother, Beverly Foster; his brother Mike Foster; his brother-in-law Marty Weinstein; his sister Judy Cenate; his brother-in-law Don Cenate; his sister Sheryl Stowell; his sister Donna Foster; his uncle Harold Foster; his uncle Jim Foster; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street in Bellows Falls, Vt.
