
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – David Warren Spoor, 90, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 21, 2026, at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, Ore.
Born on Oct. 20, 1935, in Springfield, Vt., David served in the U.S. Army and earned an associate’s degree in engineering from Franklin Technical College. He worked at Kingsbury Machine Tool Company until retirement. David embraced the Baha’i Faith after being introduced to it by a coworker and found great meaning in its teachings. On June 11, 1972, David married Lucinda “Cindy” Gray after meeting her at a square-dancing event. They had one daughter, Melinda, born in 1973. Cindy passed away prematurely in December 1999, and he has always missed her.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Conway; son-in-law, Michael Conway; grandchildren Tristan, Sequoia, and Keilani Conway; brother, Kenneth Spoor; sister-in-law, Sara Spoor; three nieces Katherine Gosselin, Karen Esterline, and Nancy Gunter; and three grand-nieces.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 1-4 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Pines, 10 Hale Hill Road, Rindge, N.H. Donations may be made to the Glaucoma Foundation at www.glaucomafoundation.org/donate.
