SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Crystal Dawn Durant passed away Sept. 13, 2026, after a recent change of health.
She was born April 13, 1962, in Hardwick, Vt., to Melody and Sherman Durant. She had lived at the Brandon Training School and in St. Albans, Vt., before moving to Springfield, Vt., in 1991. She was proud to be a Vermonter, enjoying the state’s beauty, people, and where she met Linda, Larry, and Ty; together, they became a family. Vermont was home.
She loved music of all genres and was an excellent dancer. She enjoyed any holiday; she especially enjoyed Christmas and her birthday. She loved going out for rides all around the Northeast with Larry and Linda, fashion that included hats and sunglasses, Mickey Mouse, and socializing.
She had a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile, a generous nature, and was steadfast in her beliefs.
She is survived by Larry Bartley, Linda J. Corliss, Ty-Alec Corliss, Lincoln Street Inc., and all the friends that cared for and loved her.
She loved and was loved. She will be forever missed. With brave wings, she flies.
An hour of visitation will be held at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vt., on Sept. 29, from 10-11 a.m. A graveside service will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in North Springfield, Vt.
