Bonnie J. Adams, 1948-2025

LUDLOW, Vt. – The earth lost a gentle, sweet, loving soul when Bonnie Jane (Ameden) Adams left us on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025.

Bonnie found joy, beauty, and interest in the simplest pleasures of life. She was devoted to her family, and loved them with all her heart.

From her early years on “the hill” in Weston, to her later years in Ludlow, Bonnie not only loved her family, but the natural world as well. She always had pups and kitties, and would watch with great anticipation for any animals or birds outside her windows; they all fascinated and delighted her.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Michael Adams, who brought her love, companionship, and care, for which the rest of the family are eternally grateful; her children Andrew Case (Shannon) and Cynthia Marie (Preedom) Castaneda (Frank); her grandchildren, with whom she cherished spending time and making memories, Ryan and Samantha Case, and Sonya and Alexandra Sheehan; stepdaughters Heidi Olmsted (John) and Amanda Adams (Brandon), and their children Orion, Rheide, Logan, and Easton; her siblings Denise Follansbee and husband Russell, of Parker, Colo., Bradford and partner Meredith Larson, of Weston, and Donna-Sue Hain and husband Martin Williston; sister-in-law Karen Ameden, of Jamaica; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bonnie is predeceased by her parents Dennis and Barbara Ameden, brother Dale Ameden, son- and daughter-in-law Joseph Case and Joyce Benard, and her daughters Tamara Preedom and Patty Case.

A memorial will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at the Old Parish Church in Weston, Vt., followed by a short graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery in Ludlow, at 12:30 p.m. Immediately following the graveside service, family and friends may gather at the Proctorsville Fire Hall to share stories and food in remembrance of Bonnie.
