WNDHAM, Vt. – The Windham Harvest Gathering and Square Dance will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m., at the former Windham School, 5940 Windham Hill Road.
The Windham Harvest Gathering is hosted by the Windham Community Organization (WCO), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This is WCO’s fall fundraiser. This year, the WCO is not able to host its traditional Harvest Supper due to ongoing renovations to the Windham Meeting House.
The event will be serving seasonal pies and desserts along with ice cream, popcorn, apple cider, and a few savory snacks to enjoy. All proceeds will go toward aiding Windham residents in need, organizing community events, and supporting local food shelves and social service agencies. During the evening, take the opportunity to view the entries in the “Capturing the Beauty of Windham” photo contest sponsored by the Windham Library and vote for your favorite photos. Winners will be featured in the 2027 Windham Library calendar.
Music will be provided by talented Windham musicians, with Sally Newton calling the square dance. Newton will give detailed instructions regarding the moves so that you can hit the floor dancing and join in the fun. The music will begin at 6:45 p.m.
The WCO will also be collecting donations for its local food shelves at this event. Financial donations as well as nonperishable pantry staples, kid-friendly snacks, personal hygiene items, and pet food are encouraged.
This is a fun family community event. Admission is free, and donations to WCO are welcome.
