WESTON, Vt. – “The show must go on,” and it will. In spite of flood damage to the Weston Playhouse, the renowned Weston Craft Show will take place as traditionally scheduled on on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Oct. 6, 7, and 8., from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
For 2023, the location will be the Theater at Walker Farm, located a short distance north of the Playhouse on Route 100, at 705 Main Street. The Weston Community Association, owner of the Playhouse and sponsor/beneficiary of the Craft Show wishes to thank the Weston Theater Company, and executive artistic director Susanna Gellert, for the use of this splendid venue.
There is a fee for adults, with return privileges; those under 16 are free. There is free parking, and Junior’s Food Truck will supply vittles.
In its 38th iteration, the Weston Craft Show continues to attract new talent; the 2023 show will introduce six new artisans, two of whom open additional categories to the show; Kathy Detko will bring braided rugs, and Mark Madden’s unique wooden owls will be nesting in Weston. The Show provides a great experience for the craft connoisseur, as well as the person gift shopping for the upcoming holidays.
Begun in 1983 by a small group of local artisans, the show has grown to become one of Vermont’s top fall attractions, garnering “Top Ten Events” awards from the Vermont Chamber of Commerce on four occasions. The Show is totally a volunteer effort, with local citizens lending their time and talent to ensure a great experience for both the artisans and show attendees. We hope to see you this October at Walker Farm.
