SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – On July 23, the VFW Post 771 of Springfield, Vt., held a fundraiser golf tournament at the Crown Point County Club.
In first place, with a gross score of 58, was Springfield GMC, consisting of Doug Johnston, Tony Moriglioni, Colby Mack, Ryan Seaver, Matt Dancosse, and their little helper, Alma Seaver.
Net winners were the Springfield Police Department team, consisting of Chief Jeff Burnham, Butch Stearns, Lt. Dan Deslauriers, and Rich Stillings.
There was no hole-in-one. Closest to the 150-yard marker was Paul Gurney, and closest to the pin was Shorty Freeman.
Although they may not be winners in golf, there were winners in the raffle for pirzes, as well as the 50-50 drawing.
