SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Rotary Club of Springfield has installed longtime member Jeff Mobus as president for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. This marks his third term leading the club, having previously served as president from 2007-2008 and 2018-2019.
Joining Mobus on the club’s leadership team are President-elect John Somers, Secretary Marty Cohn, Treasurer Michelle Chamberlain, immediate past President Sue Phelps, directors-at-large Ed Grossman and Alan Englander, and past Presidents Deb Cox and Emma McGuirk.
A rotarian since 2001, Mobus has been active at both the club and district levels. He has served three terms as assistant governor for Rotary District 7870 and six years as district treasurer, and has held numerous leadership roles within the Springfield club, including treasurer, secretary, foundation chair, membership chair, and Penny Sale chair. He is also a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a major donor to The Rotary Foundation.
Mobus recently completed a five-year term as Springfield town manager. Previously, he served as controller at Health Care & Rehabilitation Services (HCRS) and as Springfield’s finance director. He currently works part time as bookkeeper for Gallery at the Vault and serves as chair of the board of directors for 802 Credit Union.
As club president, Mobus plans to build on Springfield Rotary’s long tradition of community service. The club’s projects include Rotary Reads, the Springfield YMCA summer meals program, a community diaper drive, and semiannual food drives benefiting the Springfield Family Center. He also hopes to introduce more people to Rotary and encourage community members to become involved in service.
A graduate of Springfield High School, Mobus and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 37 years. They have four children, Emily, Carrie, Jim, and John, and two grandchildren, Cecilia and Luna.
Founded in 1927, the Rotary Club of Springfield is a service organization of nearly 30 members dedicated to improving lives through local and international projects. The club meets Tuesdays, at 12 p.m., at the SAPCC Workforce Development & Training Center, 51 Jack and Jill Lane, North Springfield, Vt. Visitors and prospective members are welcome.
