SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Coming off the heels of the annual fishing tournament in September, the Springfield Lions Club leapt into the construction of the Springfield Memorial Dog Park. In recognition of his efforts in building our dog park, the club voted to award a Melvin Jones Fellowship to Lion Ken Millay’s son Michael Millay. Michael was there every day, working tirelessly to complete the park.
Immediate past District Gov. Debra Savery was also awarded a progressive Melvin Jones Award.
Next up was the annual Christmas tree sale, where $850 was raised and donated to the Springfield Family Center Food Shelf.
