
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Springfield Elks Lodge 1560 held its annual installation of officers ceremony on Saturday, March 28, bringing together members and guests to welcome the lodge’s new leadership for the 2026-2027 term. The event recognized the dedication of those stepping into key roles and reaffirming the lodge’s commitment to service and tradition.
Karen Morse was installed as exalted ruler, a role that carries significant responsibility in overseeing the lodge’s activities and ensuring that its values are upheld. Ruth Sargent assumed the role of leading knight, with Dayle Brown stepping into the position of loyal knight, and Wesley Sadlowski as lecturing knight. Gloria Gunn was sworn in as secretary, and Heather Olsen as treasurer. Michael Gunn was appointed as chaplain; James Morse, PER, PDDGER as Esquire; Ray Buisson, PER, PSP as inner guard; and Maureen Blais as tiler.
The board of trustees for the new term consists of Stephen Page as the one-year trustee, Victor Baskevich as the two-year trustee; Greg Parillo as the three-year trustee; Ed Knoras, PER, as the four-year trustee; and Scott Rogers as the five-year trustee.
The installation was presided over by distinguished members of Brattleboro Lodge 1499: Pete Randall, PER; Paul Beebe, PER; Albert “Chip” Huffman, PER; Brenda Emery; Amanda Whitney Daniels; Jeff Dixon, ER; Melissa McAuliffe; Bill Wallace, PER, PDDGER; Barbara Wallace, PER, DDGER; Mark Gouger; and Jil MacMenamin.
Springfield Elks Lodge 1560 continues to serve as a vital part of the community, dedicated to charity, patriotism, and brotherhood. The newly installed officers now take on the responsibility of leading the lodge into another year of service and tradition. Their leadership will help shape the future of the lodge and ensure that its longstanding values remain at the heart of everything it does.
