Springfield Area Parent Child Center Duck Run

NORTH SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Springfield Area Parent Child Center (SAPCC) invites community members of all ages to attend the 2026 Running of the Rubber Ducks on Saturday, June 27, from 4-7 p.m.

Join us for our largest annual fundraiser. Free admission includes a bounce house, foam cannon, water slide, community resources, and activities for the whole family. Food and ice cream will be available for purchase from JC’s Market & Deli.

At 6 p.m., yellow and purple rubber ducks will race down the Black River, giving their sponsors a chance to win cash prizes.

Prizes for the Yellow Duck Race are as follows: first place, $200; second place, $100; third place, $50; last place, swim lessons at the Edgar May Health & Recreation Center for a child or adult.

This year, SAPCC is excited to introduce the Purple Duck Race, a special partnership with Lace Up for Laura. Purple ducks are available for double the price of yellow ducks, with proceeds shared equally between SAPCC, Lace Up for Laura, and the Purple Duck Race winner.

Community members are encouraged to gather their families and friends and join SAPCC for an evening of fun, community spirit, and plenty of ducks. To sponsor ducks, visit www.sapcc-vt.org.
