SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. – Mark your calendars for a fantastic day of flavor and fun at 24 Main Street’s third annual Chili Fest on Saturday, Sept. 26. This exciting event will take place in front of the 24 Main Street Community Building in Saxtons River, Vt. Bring your friends and family at 11:30 a.m. for the chili cook-off, and stay on for Street Bingo from 2-3:15 p.m. Enjoy an array of activities including the chili cook-off, a fresh cider tasting, a fun fair, a village exploration adventure for older children, a silent auction, a quilt raffle, and a 50-50 raffle. Dance the day away with music provided by WOOL91.5 Blacksheep Radio, and enjoy a locally-brewed libation from 7 Balls Brewing. Additional beverages and desserts will be available at the River Refreshment Stand. Cook-off winners for Best Individual (Meat), Best Individual (Vegetarian), and Best Organization will be announced at 1:45 p.m.
After the cook-off, join Street Bingo at 2 p.m., with Vermont product prizes. The silent auction’s final round of bidding will happen during a brief intermission at 2:30 p.m. High bidders for the silent auction and winners of the 50-50 and quilt raffle will be announced immediately when street bingo ends at 3:15 p.m.
Thanks to the support of M&T Bank, the event sponsor, chili cook-off tickets are affordably priced, and are half off for children 12 and younger. Bring the whole family for a special rate.
