SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – SAPA TV, the Springfield area’s public access TV station, invites members of the public to participate in its upcoming autumn events.
First up, SAPA will be hosting a drive-in movie night on Friday, Sept. 18, at its offices, 335 River Street in Springfield. The film will be “The Last Man on Earth,” starring Vincent Price, from 1964. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the movie starts at 7 p.m. Attendance is free to all, but donations are welcome.
On Oct. 8, SAPA will host its Annual Meeting, also at 335 River Street. The annual meeting is a recap of the station’s activities over the previous year, and includes a free potluck dinner. It is open to people from Springfield, Chester, Weathersfield, and Reading, Vt., regardless of whether they are cable subscribers, and will run from 5-7 p.m.
Lastly, SAPA has a community survey that is live now on its website. It is also open to people from Springfield, Chester, Weathersfield, and Reading, Vt., regardless of whether they are cable subscribers. SAPA would like to know how engaged community members are, and what they want. The survey will run through the end of September, and participants will be entered into a drawing to receive one of three prizes. The prizes include gift certificates to Woodbury Florist and Purrmont Cat Cafe. The survey is accessible at www.sapatv.org/survey.
