Operation Homecoming at Rockingham Library

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – This year is the 50th anniversary of Operation Homecoming. On Feb. 12, 1973, 577 American prisoners of war (POWs) were released by the North Vietnamese and flown to Clark Air Base in the Philippines. Documents reveal that in 1972, the North Vietnamese were holding 1,207 American POWs.

Bill Morse, a Navy veteran and amateur historian, will discuss the fate of those left behind at the Rockingham Public Library, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
