LUDLOW, Vt. – On Saturday, Sept. 30, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Okemo Valley Women’s Club (OVWC) will hold a food drive as part of the GFWC National Day of Service. The GFWC is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. The National Day of Service is a day in which all of GFWC comes together to highlight an area of need, take action to address it, and raise public awareness about its importance. This year, the focus of this National Day of Service is to reduce food insecurity.
OVWC will hold food drives at two separate locations on Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., to reach as many members of our community as possible. Club members will be at Singleton’s Store in Proctorsville, and also in front of the Okemo Mountain School (at the site of the Ludlow Farmer’s Market) on Main Street in Ludlow to collect food items for the drive.
Please help to reduce food insecurity in our community by contributing. OVWC appreciates your support.
