LUDLOW, Vt. – Okemo Valley TV is seeking nominations for its board of directors. The nonprofit organization is celebrating its 25th year of providing locally based media services to the Black River valley and Okemo region. This includes the long-running community access TV station and soon WLUD, the new community radio station, which will begin broadcasting at 93.3 FM in March 2027.
There are three seats up for election, which will be held during the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 30. The deadline for getting a candidate’s name on the ballot is June 19, to accommodate early voting. The electronic ballot will be made available on Okemo Valley TV’s website, www.okemovalley.tv, one week prior to the Annual Meeting.
Any resident of Andover, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, Reading, or Cavendish who is at least 18 years of age is eligible to serve on the board. Those interested in becoming a candidate or nominating someone they know should email Patrick Cody at pcody@okemovalley.tv, or call the station at 802-228-8808. Anyone meeting those criteria and with an interest in helping lead the organization into its next chapter is encouraged to run.
The Annual Meeting on June 30 will begin with an open house at 5:30 p.m., during which time attendees will be given the opportunity to tour the recently-renovated facility, which has undergone numerous upgrades. The event is open to the public, but RSVPs are requested. More information about the event and the board of directors election is available at www.okemovalley.tv.
