Dear Editor,
There is a group of amazing people who, every first Friday, sets out to raise money for worthy causes. My family and I are grateful to have our family’s scholarship, The Comtois Family Scholarship, be the recipient of such generosity. On Friday, Aug. 4, with the weather looking dark and dreary, many community members went to the Baptist Church in Bellows Falls and enjoyed a dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs, salad, corn on the cob, chips, and various homemade desserts. It was a delicious meal, and a wonderful time to see friends we haven’t seen in awhile. My parents would have been overjoyed to know that people thought that much of them that they would want their scholarship to continue for many years. We are overjoyed by generous donations that have come to us, even after the dinner. We thank that special group of people, and hope you know how much you have touched our hearts!
