SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – The Springfield Town Library invites the public to a special event, “Lost and Found,” on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m., featuring local Vermonter Denise McCarty, as she shares the extraordinary true story of how she reunited with her birth family nearly five decades after her adoption.
McCarty, who was adopted by a family in Vermont on Christmas Eve in 1976, grew up unaware of her origins. In 2020, a simple DNA test changed everything, leading her to discover and reconnect with her biological family in South Korea in 2021.
Her emotional and inspiring journey captured national and international attention, resonating with audiences across the globe. Now, in this heartfelt event, McCarty will recount her personal story of identity, resilience, and the enduring power of family.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear a powerful narrative that reminds us all of the hope that can be found, even after years of searching.
