SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. – The newly launched Jesse’s Homegrown Music Series continues its semimonthly run at 24 Main Street in Saxtons River on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. The intimate, down-to-earth showcase will feature a collaborative duo performance by local favorite Jesse Peters and regional mainstay George Nostrand.

The performance marks the second installment of the new music series, which aims to bring local and out-of-town guests together for stripped-down, community-focused sets. Both Nostrand and Peters share deep roots in the Bellows Falls and Saxtons River area. Having built a long friendship and history of collaboration, the duo will deliver a joyous evening of varied, dynamic, original songs and choice covers traversing rock and folk stylings.
Nostrand has long been celebrated as a cornerstone of Rutland’s vibrant live music scene, while Peters has spent the last two decades anchoring live music on Vermont’s eastern front.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. ahead of the evening performance at 24 Main Street in Saxtons River. Admission is by suggested cover at the door, though organizers emphasize a strict no one turned away for lack of funds policy to keep the event accessible to all community members.
The historic 24 Main Street venue is overseen by 24 Main Street Ltd. and serves as a central hub for civic, cultural, and community activities benefiting the citizens of Saxtons River and surrounding areas. Programs and historic preservation efforts are made possible through the generous support and donations of community members and patrons. 24 Main Street is located directly across from the Saxtons River Village Market, and there is plenty of street parking available.
