SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Friends of the Springfield Town Library (FOSTL) will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 6, at 6 p.m., at the First Congregational Church, 77 Main Street in Springfield. Following the meeting, at 7 p.m. our guests will be treated to the very popular local Celtic band Gypsy Reel. Their music is an exciting synthesis of world rhythms and influences from three continents. Their newest studio album, “Red Red Rose,” features music from the tradition and original material from the band. We know you will enjoy hearing this high-energy performance.
FOSTL is a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization. Our purpose is to maintain an association of community members interested in good library service, to foster closer relations between the Springfield Town Library and town residents, and to support the programs and outreach efforts of the library. A strong group of friends can make a good library great.
