ANDOVER, Vt. – Cryptids in the Mountains is a cryptozoology conference happening in beautiful Andover, Vt. On Aug. 29 and 30, you can come listen to speakers, shop at local vendor tents, enjoy documentaries, have a tasty bite to eat, play some trivia, and even win some raffles.
Cryptids in the Mountains will be taking place at The Inn Between & Which Way Tavern, 1834 Simonsville Road in Andover, Vt. Saturday will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. Cryptid trivia will begin at 6:30 p.m., in the tavern. Sunday will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 5:30 p.m. Our speakers include names like Ronny LeBlanc, who was on Travel Channel’s “Expedition Bigfoot.”
Cryptozoology is the study of hidden animals. You might know the more famous cryptids, like Bigfoot, Mothman, and the Loch Ness monster – Vermont even has our beloved Champ, the Lake Champlain monster – but there are so many more. There are legends of these creatures all around the world, and events like this one help expand that knowledge and culture to local areas. We have a lot to discover on our planet. Some creatures are just still hiding.
