SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Celebrate autumn with a felted-acorns workshop at Gallery at the Vault, on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 1-3 p.m. The class will be taught by Windham teaching artist Lisa Caron Hickey, founder of Caron Designs.
Participants will learn basic needle-felting and wet-felting techniques while creating charming wool acorns using colorful wool and natural acorn caps. Finished acorns may be strung together to create a festive autumn garland or used individually as decorations for a table, bowl, wreath, or seasonal arrangement.
This relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop requires no previous needle-felting experience. The workshop fee, which is discounted for gallery members, includes all tools and materials to create 14 felted acorns. Register by Oct. 7 at www.galleryvault.org/workshops, by phone, or in person.
