Bibens Ace Operation Round Up a success

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – During the entire month of March, Aubuchon’s Bibens Ace Hardware agreed to promote a fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight New England, a nonprofit organization based in Hookset, N.H. Management agreed to allow patrons to round up their purchases as part of the fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight New England.

Honor Flight New England was founded in 2010 by Joe Byron, who is the executive director. The organization raises money to cover all expenses to send World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans, to Washington, D.C., for the day to visit their respective war memorials and to pay tribute to all of the heroes for their service to our country.

The total amount raised throughout the fundraiser was $2,028.86.

Byron wishes to express his sincerest thanks to the community of Springfield for their continued support of Honor Flight New England, and to the owners of Aubuchon’s Bibens Ace Hardware for their support and generosity.

On July 30, Store Manager John Somers presented Honor Flight New England Representative Mark Fountain with a donation check in the amount of $2,028.86.
