
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – Bellows Falls Union High School (BFUHS) and the Bellows Falls Elks Lodge 19 are proud to announce that Zoey Perry, daughter of Doug and Betsy Perry, of Grafton, Vt., has been selected as the Elks Student of the Month for March. This honor recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academic effort, attitude, attendance, and contributions to both school and community life.
Perry has distinguished herself as a dedicated and thoughtful student whose academic effort consistently exceeds expectations. She produces high-quality, thorough work and often goes beyond what is required. Her curiosity and engagement in the classroom are evident, as she actively participates, shares her ideas, and approaches learning with a strong sense of purpose. Perry demonstrates impressive skills in planning, problem solving, and critical thinking, and continues to grow as a confident and capable learner.
Equally notable are Perry’s attitude and presence within the school community. She is respectful, kind, and considerate, contributing to a positive classroom environment through her thoughtful interactions with both peers and teachers. Perry is known for her quiet leadership and willingness to support others, often going out of her way to offer encouragement. Her resilience and ability to maintain a positive perspective, even when faced with challenges, have made a meaningful impact on those around her.
Perry’s attendance reflects her determination and commitment to her education. While she has faced physical challenges that can at times impact her ability to attend school, she continues to persevere and remain engaged in her learning. She has been involved in a variety of artistic and creative pursuits, including jewelry making, photography, film projects, knitting, and music. She has shared her talents at community events by showcasing and selling her handmade jewelry. In addition, Perry has volunteered her time supporting school garden projects and community fundraisers, demonstrating a strong commitment to giving back and being involved in her community.
Perry’s strength, kindness, and determination have not gone unnoticed, and this recognition is a reflection of the impact she has made during her time at BFUHS.
