NEWPORT, N.H. – Located on the John Stark Highway between Newport and Claremont, N.H., Beaver Pond Farm is a family-run farm offering fresh, high-quality produce and local products. Our retail store sits just five miles from each town and is easy to get to from anywhere in the Upper Valley.
A short drive up McDonough Road leads to our pick-your-own blueberries, raspberries, and apples, where visitors can enjoy the freshest seasonal fruit. As a diversified farm, we grow a variety of crops and raise livestock, ensuring sustainable practices that support both the land and our community.
Becky (McDonough) Nelson represents the eighth generation of her family to own and work the land at Beaver Pond Farm. Her husband, Ben, oversees farm production, and together they have continued the family tradition since 1984.
Over nine generations, the farm has passed through the hands of both men and women, each dedicated to preserving its legacy. Today, 238 acres of our land are permanently conserved, protecting the farm’s rich agricultural heritage for future generations.
In 1984, Becky and Ben partnered with Becky’s parents, Fred and Norma McDonough, to officially establish Beaver Pond Farm. What began with baked goods and vegetables sold from a cart soon expanded to include maple syrup, apples, raspberries, and cattle, leading to the opening of our farm store in 1989. While much has changed over the centuries, our dedication to quality, sustainability, and tradition remains as strong as ever.
In May, we’re featuring fresh, locally sourced wild fiddleheads, asparagus, and spinach. Don’t miss our seasonal farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, grass-fed beef, baked goods, maple syrup, hay, pumpkins and squash, and Christmas trees and wreaths.
Other local products on our shelves include pork and chicken, milk, cheese, honey, ice cream, and more.
