Adams Grist Mill to open for season

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – The Bellows Falls Historical Society’s Frank Adams Grist Mill, 20 Mill Street, will open for the season on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The mill will be open Saturdays and Sundays through Columbus Day weekend. Appointments can be made to view the mill outside of these hours by emailing bfhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.

While visiting the mill, make time to visit the Riverfront Park Labyrinth and the stunning views down the Connecticut River. The park is open from dawn to dusk year-round.

The Bellows Falls Historical Society & Museum is located at 46 Canal Street. Displays of local history include the railroad, Hetty Green, and the Victorian houses. Current exhibits are “Industry in Bellows Falls” and the Gordon Crandal Native American exhibit. The art gallery is currently completing its run of “Two Friends,” the paintings of Virginia Clark and Nan Durling, who deftly captured the village’s charm and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The Bellows Falls Historical Society & Museum is open Wednesdays and Fridays year-round, from 1-3 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., or by special appointment via email.
