BRATTLEBORO, Vt. – Turning Point of Windham County is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a certified Recovery Services Organization by the Vermont Department of Health (VDH), Department of Substance Use Programs (DSU), marking an important milestone in the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality recovery support services to individuals and families impacted by substance use.
The certification process took more than a year of preparation and included meeting rigorous standards, completing organizational assessments, submitting extensive documentation, participating in a peer-review process, and successfully completing a site visit.
“This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and competency of our staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners,” said Elias Burgess, executive director of Turning Point of Windham County. “We are honored to receive this recognition from VDH and remain committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and effective recovery community for all who seek support.”
The RSO certification demonstrates that Turning Point has met established standards for organizational excellence, service delivery, ethical practices, and accountability. The certification provides community members, funders, and partners with confidence that services are delivered according to recognized best practices.
