WINDSOR, Vt. – Dartmouth Health’s Mount Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) recently honored nurses and support staff for their dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care through the Diseases Attacking the Immune System (DAISY) and Bumble Bee award programs.

The awards were presented during a special celebration attended by hospital leadership, colleagues and their families, and cofounder of the DAISY Foundation Tena Barnes Carraher, who spoke about the significance of recognizing extraordinary caregivers and the difference they make in the lives of patients and families.

Award recipients included Moriah Tidwell, DAISY RN Nurse Leader Award; Lily Burke, DAISY RN Award; and Moriah Wojciechowski, Bumble Bee Award.

“The DAISY and Bee awards are a reflection of the culture we work hard to build every day,” said Matthew R. Foster, president and CEO of MAHHC. “These individuals represent the very best of what it means to care for others, and we are proud to celebrate them.”

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program honoring nurses for the skilled and compassionate care they provide to patients and families. The Bumble Bee Award recognizes non-nursing staff members to help create exceptional patient experiences through their dedication and service.
