TOWNSHEND, Vt. – Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital congratulates Dr. Moss Linder, who has been named Best Doctor in the Brattleboro Reformer’s Readers’ Choice Awards. He also received this distinction in 2025, 2021, and 2020, and was the second runner-up to Grace Cottage’s Dr. Ewa Arnold in 2024 and Dr. Timothy Shafer in 2023. The 2026 award winners were announced on Aug. 8.

“Dr. Linder represents the very best of family medicine,” said Grace Cottage Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jennifer Zweig. “He combines exceptional clinical care with kindness and compassion, and cares deeply about every patient he sees. He is both thoughtful and thorough, and a strong advocate for his patients. We are incredibly fortunate to have him serving our community and as part of the Grace Cottage family.”

Dr. Linder has been serving patients at Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital for 29 years and has earned the trust and appreciation of his colleagues and hundreds of families throughout the region. His peers in the Vermont Academy of Family Physicians (VTAFP) selected him as the 2020 Family Physician of the Year.

“I’m grateful for the recognition, but the credit belongs to the entire team,” said Linder. “I always try to do my best for every patient, in every encounter and correspondence, and I’m proud to work alongside staff in every department who share that same commitment to our patients.”

While Grace Cottage currently maintains a waiting list for new primary care patients, plans for a new clinic are moving forward. With 73% of project funding in hand, the organization expects to break ground in spring 2027 on a new, efficient facility that will increase access to primary care and allow Grace Cottage to welcome more patients in the future.
