SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – February’s monthly chair yoga class at the Springfield Town Library, 43 Main Street, on Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m., honors the high-spirited energy of the fire horse, this year’s animal from the Chinese zodiac. Join in person at or online to learn accessible movements that you can do right from your seat, leaving you feeling mobile yet grounded for the year ahead, with attention to brain boosting and nervous system nourishment.
Chair yoga meets the third Friday of every month for a 60-minute practice. This month’s session will feature guided acupressure and self-massage, with the goal of creating a focused route for the fire horse, ready to race ahead.
Classes are led by Jo Bregnard, a 500-hour certified yoga teacher with additional certifications in tai chi, acupressure, meditation, and more. She leads group and private sessions through her virtual studio, where she enjoys weaving lessons learned from the natural world into practice time, giving folks the support they need so they can continue doing the things that bring joy and connection.
Simply walk into the library and join live in person for free; there’s no need to preregister for this option.
