The Message celebrates one year of publishing

REGION – The Message of the Week is celebrating one year of publishing on Sept. 17. That’s 52 weekly papers we are proud to have printed and distributed.

Journal LLC is the publisher of three free local newspapers – The Vermont Journal, The Shopper Edition, and The Message of the Week – collectively circulating more than 15,000 printed papers each week.

We began printing The Message when the local newspaper, Eagle Times, discontinued publication. We felt the need to expand our coverage into the greater Claremont region, to help serve local residents with area news, and local businesses with an avenue to market their products and services.

Our publications are dedicated to sharing community news, events, and local government updates in an upbeat and unbiased fashion, relevant to each paper’s location and coverage area. We also feature many special sections for upcoming events, such as the Claremont Kiwanis Brewfest fundraiser, and monthly pages like the Adopt a Pet page and the Crossword Puzzle Coupon Contest page. These are just a few ways that we incorporate community happenings into the paper and support local organizations, while also promoting area businesses that support these sections.

We are pleased to receive positive feedback from our readers thus far. “Doing a great job,” reported Richard and Liza. “Look forward to each new issue. Especially like the profiles of local businesses. Thank you.”

“I enjoy your weekly happenings in my area. Thank you for continuing publishing,” wrote Dick.

“We look forward to each issue of The Message arriving and appreciate your providing us with local news coverage in print!” expressed Sharon.

“I’ve been picking up your weekly paper for years. Not just for myself, but for others as well,” said Donna. “The first thing I do is check the leading news, then read almost everything else, from front to back…I have sent in for your monthly Puzzle Page contest a couple of times. Looking forward to picking up more papers!”

“I appreciate all the hard work that goes into producing your paper, I hope your team is able to continue publishing it for years to come,” wrote Sue Ann.

“We really enjoy The Message!” noted Carol. “We choose to do without television and ‘local media,’ and hear very little news. So The Message is refreshing and the calendar of events is quite helpful. Thanks for what you produce!”

Advertisers have remarked about how easy we make the process to submit and publish ads in our papers. “You’re the best! You are always so helpful and easy to work with,” commented Sarah.

“You don’t know how wonderful your reminders are!” expressed Barbara, a client who makes regular ad updates.

“I appreciate your salesmanship approach and your style,” commented Sam about one of our sales representatives.

We welcome any other feedback or constructive criticism from our readers and advertisers with what we are doing well, and maybe what you’d like to see or how we can better serve you.
