CLAREMONT, N.H. – Mark Shehan has been a resident of Claremont for the past 13 years, working extensively in fleet maintenance. He recently opened up shop with Markies Fix It, located at 286 Elm Street in Claremont.
Markies Fix It offers full-service maintenance and repair on cars, trucks, and heavy equipment, whether a vehicle has been sitting for 10 years and needs restoration, or it requires an extensive and complete check for safety measures. He will travel to your site, if preferred, and offers personalized service in order to accommodate whatever your needs may be.
Shehan primarily strives to perform fleet work, as he specializes in commercial maintenance and repair inspection. He stated that he is currently using Ford software, as far as re-flashing computers, and said he will transition to GM in the future, if he finds the need. Alignments are locally outsourced in partnership with Asetex.
Shehan has a history of employment in fleet maintenance, most recently at Golden Cross Ambulance in Claremont, which has a fleet of 23; CWS Fence, managing a fleet of 156 traveling between Rhode Island and Andover, N.H.; RSD Leasing in White River Junction; and Cory Patten’s in Newport, N.H. He attended Job Corp., and received his apprenticeship with AAMCO for automatic transmissions. He explained that, as a child, he was always “taking apart [his] gramma’s vacuum,” and has always been “mechanically inclined with an interest in fixing things.”
In addition to his employment, Shehan has had independent work from clients for the past 10 years. In October of 2025, he decided to build a Quonset hut to set up his own shop, to hold his tools, and to have a clean structure to perform his side work. In April 2026, he decided that the time was right to open his doors for a full-service operation, recognizing the need due to his growing client base. Since then, his reputation has spread through referrals, allowing him to offer his service full time to the community.
Markies Fix It offers quick diagnosis and quick service for fleet customers, with GPS tracking programming presets for service intervals and maintenance. Shehan explained that preventative maintenance is critical to ensure fleet vehicles are operating without interruption. He will also accept work for noncommercial and personal or private vehicles.
