CHESTER, Vt. – The Chester Celebrates Special Vermont Foods festival, held on the Chester Green on Saturday, Sept. 19, was a great success.
Many food vendors served hot, prepared food; premade sweets and pastries; canned jams, jellies, and pickled items; and drinks. Various crafters also set up along the Green with various, festive goods. Walking sticks were sold by the Chester Conservation Commission, and Chester Townscape hosted a spring bulb sale.
Horse-drawn wagon rides brought passengers around the village, the Chester Conservation Commission led hikes on the Brookside Trail, and the Chester Historical Society hosted several cemetery tours.
Thank you to all of the businesses, volunteers, and individuals who helped make this event happen. And thank you to everyone who visited and enjoyed the Chester Celebrates Special Vermont Foods on the Green.
