CHARLESTOWN, N.H. – A new destination for shoppers searching for antiques, vintage items, and one-of-a-kind treasures will open its doors in downtown Charlestown, N.H., on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m.
Brick & Mortar on Main is an upscale, curated antique shop featuring previously loved items and handmade pieces. The shop is scheduled to open this Saturday, and is located in the former Dan’s Max Saver building.
Mark and Nikki Lund, of Springfield, Vt., are behind this new venture. Mark is the owner of T & M Construction, a masonry and construction company, and Nikki is a licensed nursing assistant employed by Springfield Hospital. The pair have a passion for collecting unique items, a longtime hobby of theirs. That love for the hunt helped them recently to decide to open their own marketplace to help others enjoy the art of finding and sharing special and unique items.
Mark discovered that the space on Main Street was available, and together he and Nikki set out to transform it into their new retail store, Brick & Mortar on Main.
Mark has been working on building the individual vendor booths, which will be available for rent. Together they are working to create a welcoming shopping experience.
The Lunds want customers to always expect to discover something new at Brick & Mortar on Main, which will offer an ever-changing selection of merchandise. On display throughout the store are hand-picked items representing a variety of styles, including rustic farmhouse, mid-century, modern, and vintage.
There is a book nook and a comics section in the back of the store, and the shop currently has nearly 40 booths filled with vendor merchandise, including larger, open consignment spaces.
Vendor space is now available for rent. Nikki said, “We roughly have 100 booths, which includes the large, open consignment spots and the vintage clothing area.”
Nikki is also an esthetician, licensed in Vermont. She plans to work on obtaining her license in New Hampshire and to set up space upstairs to offer related services. Nikki plans to offer facials, waxing, lash lifting, and tints.
Brick & Mortar on Main, located at 209-223 Main Street in Charlestown, N.H., welcomes the public on Saturday, Aug. 29. Come visit and see what treasures are currently available in store. Hours are Wednesday-Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
