BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – A new creative space and apothecary has opened on The Square in Bellows Falls, Alleor Creations & Apothecary, launched in early November by Emily and Ryan Allard. The new store offers a variety of creative handmade gifts, herbal remedies, and workshops, and individual classes are coming soon.
“The idea to open our shop began back in July, when we noticed a space available here in Bellows Falls,” Emily Allard said in a recent interview. “After setting up our creations at a few local farmers markets, we decided that we really wanted to share our creations with others beyond just setting up on the weekends.
“In early August I went to see the rental space, and it was perfect; within budget, and a front-row seat on Rockingham Street. From there, we manifested the storefront and signed the lease at the end of August. This also helps with our daughter’s [homeschooling] education, as we wanted to be able to intertwine schooling into the business.”
Alleor Creations will offer a wide range of gifts and crafts, including paintings, jewelry, loom bracelets, candles, herbal remedies, and even hanging plants. They will also be offering creative classes and workshops.
“Our shop will stock items that people will come to love, and will always be rotating in fresh and new inventory. We create most everything that we offer in our store, and soon we will begin creative workshops, and a space for people to come gather and be creative.
“We recently had a soft opening on Nov. 8, and it was so nice to have people from the community come out and support us.”
Located at 115 Rockingham Street, Alleor Creations is open Wednesday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; closed Monday and Tuesday. The Allards can be reached by email at emmijean2008@gmail.com, and by phone at 603-543-7686.
“We love that we can continue to support our daughter in homeschooling, and we are excited about the workshops and bringing people together,” Emily concluded. “We’ve worked for ourselves in the past, and this one really allows us to slow down and create together. We get to spend more time together, and that alone makes this journey so much fun and important.”
