Used bike and sewing machine collection for developing countries

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Do you have a good bike or sewing machine that is collecting dust? On Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Pedals for Progress will be collecting donations of bikes and sewing machines at the Tarrant Recreation Center at Saint Michael’s College, 132 Campus Road, Colchester, Vt. Pedals for Progress sends repairable bikes and sewing machines to vetted nonprofits in the developing world. This once-a-year collection has sent 5,000 bikes and 1,000 sewing machines to people in need during the last 25 years from Vermont. A donation is requested with each donated item.
