Soup and Stories for Universal Health Care

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Join us on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Huber Building, 80 Main Street in Springfield, Vt., to share stories about the need for universal healthcare. The Vermont Workers Center is working to bring this issue back to the state legislature, because the current system is not working for anyone. The U.S. has a complicated system of paying for healthcare that causes us to pay more per capita for healthcare than any other country in the world, and have worse outcomes than any other wealthy country. We hope Vermont will be able to lead the way in making healthcare available for everyone, while reducing the cost to the public. We are asking everyone who can to bring a dish to share. We will have separate tables for vegan and non-vegan fare. What is most important is that your concerns about how healthcare is paid for. Your voice counts in addressing this important issue.
