New Lost Nation

CHESTER, Vt. – New Lost Nation will play the Chester Summer Music Series on Thursday, July 16, from 6:30-8 p.m., on the Chester Academy Lawn, or in the Chester Town Hall auditorium in case of rain New Lost Nation is an old-time string band that has emerged out of the vibrant traditional music scene of central Vermont. The lineup features Dana Robinson on fiddle and vocals, Tom McKenzie on banjo and vocals, Susan Robinson on guitar and vocals, and Neal McNaughton on bass and vocals. New Lost Nation’s sound is distinctly Southern-Appalachian, and inspired by the Round Peak style in North Carolina, as well as the deep well of old-time fiddle tunes and traditional songs from throughout North America.
