RUTLAND, Vt. – Our police department is understaffed and doing the best they can. Changes in laws and policies are needed to help them to do a better job. More positions need to be filled, while retention incentives are lacking. Our crimes have increased in recent years. We appreciate what the police officers do that we have. Contact your legislators, Senators, and Congressman, to share what changes we need. Become active in pushing for legislative change that will support the work against crime of our local community.

From Nov. 5-Dec. 31, put a light in your window (lamp, candle, whatever) at 8 p.m. daily in support of the Rutland Police Department, Rutland County Sheriff Department, Rutland City Patrol, and the Vermont Stand Your Ground group. Show your support as they work to reduce the crime in the area. Also, pray against the negative energy and spirits that are attached to the crime, increasing yearly. This is for Rutland City in Vermont.
