Community Contra Dance and Social

WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. – The Community Contra Dance and Social will be held at the Weathersfield Center Meetinghouse, 2579 Weathersfield Center Road, from 7-9 p.m. Contra dancing is a traditional New England folk dance style in which couples dance in two facing lines, following the instructions of a caller. Participants will be taught and guided through the dance. No special clothing or footwear required. Live music will be performed by Naomi Morse on the fiddle, and Amy Englesberg on the piano. There will be potluck snacks during the break; feel free to bring simple finger food to share, as well as any beverages you’d like. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
