LTE BRGNS thanks community and volunteers for support

Dear Editor,

With a successful Fall Rummage Sale behind us, Black River Good Neighbor Services (BRGNS) extends a warm and most sincere thank you to our community and beyond for supporting this fundraising effort. Your generous support has been overwhelming. This year we were especially aware that many folks shopped to supplement their family’s needs, particularly winter clothing, and we intentionally kept prices level to help in supporting our neighbors in need.

To ensure that all of this comes together smoothly and efficiently, we rely upon many dedicated volunteers. An outstanding group comes together weeks in advance of the sale, meticulously setting up tents, clothing racks, department inventory, and ultimately working throughout the entire two-day sale. Devoted and hardworking, volunteers keep the wheels turning throughout BRGNS rummage sales and beyond. They are engaged year-round to further our mission, lending skills, support, and resources, and all in their free time. We are most grateful for such an active volunteer force.

The result of these efforts keeps BRGNS programs available and strong, and includes our food shelf, financial assistance, monthly community meals, and flood assistance. We remain dedicated to serving the community, which includes the towns of Ludlow, Mount Holly, Belmont, Cavendish, Proctorsville, and Plymouth.

Sincerely,

Krey Kellington
